Pettition to restore Feral Aggression!
During the preview event I was able to use the skill Feral Aggression, and I loved it. At long last here was a skill that made pets more than just corpse for Minion Masters. It still cost me 3 skill slots and at least 10 points in beastmastery for it to be effective.
However Anet decided that having a pet that actually deals damage is not allowed unless you have a skill bar full of pet attacks, this is infuriating!!
Original function of the skill Feral Aggression
5energy recharge 20 second recharge
For 5-35 seconds your pet attacks 33% faster and deals an additional 1-20 damage.
New function of the skill
15energy 20 second recharge
For 5...17 seconds, your pet attacks 33% faster and deals 5...9 additional damage.
This is pretty much the total destruction of the skill for anything save a ranger primary with 16 in beastmastery.
If Anet didnt want players other than Ranger primary to use a pet they should have made Charm Animal a Ranger only skill. With out the old version of Feral Aggression its not practiacl for any class other than a Ranger running all pet attacks to use a pet. Their deaths shut down all of your skills, you need to use a min of 2 skills just to carry the pet not counting attack skills to have the pet actually deal more than 2-7 dmg vs the high lvl monsters in PvE.
If Anet refuses to restore this skill due to the concerns of PvP players then PLEASE create a PvE only skill to replace it!!!!
For the first time in 2 years my War/Ranger was actually able to use his pet in battle. My ranger was actually able to run a pet without a full skill bar of pet attacks.
Give it back!

The original skill was so broken. For almost nothing your pet could have a constant IAS buff and extra damage. Not to mention highly exploitable.

We knew they would nerf some skills, you just choose one they nerfed. This 'petition' will solve nothing.

Even as a Ranger myself, I'd have to agree. Constant 33% IAS and +20 damage per hit... errr, as fun as it is, you must at least realize how overpowered that is.

Yeah, they can buff it back.
Only if we can get an instant-death spell too.

I'd like to see it back to what it was too- but I doubt they will. Oh well.

And I think it also had a "Cannot be blocked" adition. I know I used it against the Icy Stalagmites a lot when they used [skill]Whirling Defense[/skill]
EDIT: I think it could do with a BIT of a damage increase, maybe up to 11-12, but not more than that. Or lower en cost to 10. The old version was definitely ower-powered, though.

A damage nerf, and a new 15e cost, and a duration that no longer matches the recharge.
Ouch.
Nerfed this one way too far methinks.
/half signed. For buffing back into something more useful than this.

Gone from too strong to too weak.
Is half way between too much to ask? Apparently so.
When A-Net decide to nerf something, woe betide anyone who might still want to use it ever again.

A nerf I could live with, but they destroyed this skill.
It could have been made:
10Energy 20 sec recharge
Attack speed 25% dmg + 1-12 and a duration of 10-25seconds
That would be a nerf, but they toasted it!

/Half-signed, make it more powerful, but not equal to it's original form.
Here's an easy way to make it still good for Beast Masters without being over-powered or abusable by other classes:
15e cost, 20s reset, +33% attack speed, +0...13 damage, 5...25 seconds.

It's traditional in Guild Wars to have excessively powerful classes and skills in the preview events and then nerf them back to par for release. What were you expecting?

Its not the 1.....9 damage that bugs me. Its the 15 energy. That needs to be bumped, me thinks.
10 Energy, 20s reset, +33% attack speed, +0...20 damage, 5...15 seconds.

What really makes the nerf so sad is the fact that it is still better then the elite, Strike as One.
Elite Shout. For 30 seconds, you and your pet's next 5 attacks deal 4...9 additional damage.

Frankly, nerfing in moderation has never struck me as one of Anet's design strengths. Maybe I have a selective memory, but things in Guild Wars tend to be overpowered for a little while, and then are completely unusable following a nerf (Ether Prodigy, I'm looking at you).
If it's not one damn thing, it's the other.

That's because Strike As One was bad till day 1.
Feral was too strong, not sure how it is now.
